RUNHER Magazine is officially accepting pitches for its debut issue! π This is a unique opportunity for writers, photographers, and creatives to contribute to a fresh, vibrant publication focused on womenβs running and the diverse community around it.
βοΈ What They’re Looking For
RUNHER is seeking deeply reported, immersive stories that spotlight female, trans, and nonbinary athletes. The editorial lens centers on road running, but stories from track, trail, and ultrarunning communities are also welcome.
π Theyβre particularly interested in:
- π In-depth features exploring issues affecting female athletes
- π Profiles of inspiring women in the running world
- π€ Articles examining big questions and bold ideas
- π Stories from lesser-known corners of the running community
- π Trend reports on running fashion and gear from a women-focused perspective
Note: RUNHER does not accept prescriptive service pieces or basic gear roundups. First-person essays will only be considered if they are deeply reported.
π° What They Pay
Features typically range from 1,000 to 5,000+ words. Compensation is $0.50β$2 per word, based on the story scope and writer experience.
πΈ Photographers Wanted!
Theyβre also commissioning photo-driven features that showcase the raw, emotional side of womenβs running. These pieces will be mostly visual, with minimal text. Rates are TBD and based on scope and usage.
