Looking For: Essays, interviews, fiction, poetry, recipes, hybrid pieces — basically any smart writing that spins out of an Are.na channel and vibes with the idea of “pool.” No previous clips required; strong ideas beat résumés.

Are.na’s yearly anthology turns users’ rabbit-hole research into a printed book. Volume 7 circles the idea of “pool”:

• a still pocket in a rushing stream
• a crowd pooling skills or resources
• a splash zone, literal or digital
• billiards on a felt table, or light pooling through glass

1. Pick (or build) a channel on Are.na that your piece will grow from.
2. Write 1–2 short paragraphs: What’s your core idea? How does it tie to “pool”? Why will readers care? Mention format (essay, interview, hybrid, etc.).

4. Wait for replies by 20 June. If selected, you’ll work with an editor and snag that $200.
