What They’re Looking For:
The Bee has opened its submissions window exclusively for working-class writers in the UK. They want stories that capture what it means to be working-class in Britain in 2025.
✅ Accepted genres:
- Fiction (any genre)
- Narrative non-fiction
- Journalism
- Essays
Your piece should explore joy, community, hope, or any aspect of working-class experience. Word count: 500–3,000 words.
Writers selected will work closely with The Bee’s editor, Richard Benson, to refine their pieces for publication on The Bee’s website (and possibly in their print magazine).
