The Wall Street Transcript (TWST) — a respected financial publication that has been around for 60+ years — is hiring freelance journalists. This role involves conducting Q&A-style interviews with CEOs, money managers, equity analysts, and other financial leaders.
Writers will:
- Use an approved list of potential contacts
- Send queries and schedule interviews (via phone or Zoom)
- Record and lightly edit interview transcripts (outsourced transcriptions provided)
- Manage deadlines and get corrections/signoff from interviewees
The position is fully remote and pays $200 per completed interview.
What They’re Looking For:
- BA in Communications or Journalism (preferred)
- 1+ year experience at a financial newspaper or financial media outlet
- Knowledge of finance/investing a must
- Strong interview & digital recording skills
- Must be available during business hours for scheduling
