Parapraxis, a biannual volunteer-run magazine, is now accepting pitches for its Winter 2025 issue on Romances. We publish both in print and online, covering a wide range of essay categories—from arts and book reviews to political/social commentary, and unique features like “Clinical Conflict” or anonymous testimonies.

What They’re Looking For:

• Original essays (no fiction or poetry)
• Print articles for Issue 07: Romance (due Spring 2025)
• Web pieces with rolling deadlines

Print rates vary by length ($500–$800). Web articles are paid at a flat rate of $500. All submissions are pitch-based, so even if your essay is drafted, fill out the submission form and indicate that.

If you don’t hear back within three weeks, consider your pitch unselected.
