RUNHER Magazine is commissioning bold, investigative, and narrative-driven pitches for Issue 005. The focus is on ambitious storytelling that interrogates the lived realities of women and non-binary runners globally, with a strong emphasis on underreported angles in sports journalism and running culture. Writers are expected to bring sharp editorial insight, original reporting, and a strong narrative voice.
The editor is actively seeking stories that move beyond surface-level sports coverage. Key interest areas include adaptive running communities, the politics and economics of women’s running gear, systemic safety concerns such as harassment and bullying in athletic spaces, and the growing business ecosystem around elite and amateur running. There is also openness to experimental formats, including long-form photo features and hybrid visual storytelling.
