If you’re looking for high-paying freelance writing opportunities, POPSUGAR is actively accepting pitches from freelance writers, journalists, creators, subject-matter experts, and first-time contributors across its core lifestyle verticals.
The publication is looking for original, engaging stories that make readers feel informed, inspired, and entertained. Editors want unique angles, compelling personal essays, reported features, expert commentary, and conversation-starting stories covering health, fitness, beauty, identity, relationships, shopping, parenting, travel, and modern culture.
Successful pitches should be specific and include:
- A proposed headline.
- A concise summary of your story idea.
- Your planned structure and estimated length.
- Your expected delivery timeline.
- Sources (where applicable).
- A short introduction explaining why you’re the right person to write the story.
- Links to your published work or portfolio, if available.
Before pitching, spend time reading POPSUGAR to make sure your idea hasn’t already been covered. Editors specifically recommend avoiding broad story ideas and instead pitching focused, well-developed concepts with a clear angle.
Pitch the correct editorial desk:
